JPPL Community Share

In 2017 'Jubilee Pool Penzance Limited' (JPPL) was formed and became a Community Benefit Society, operating the pool and café as a community social enterprise. Then in 2018 the pool embarked on a new project to secure its future: fundraising to build a geothermally-heated section of the pool and all-new top terrace facilities. This development would take the pool from a four-month, weather-dependent facility, to an all-year-round visitor attraction with potential to re- generate the local economy. Community Shares raised £530,000 to make the project happen.
