War Memorial and St Michael's Mount, Penzance
View of the Battery Rocks and the War Memorial before Jubilee Pool was built, with St Michael's Mount in the background. Battery Rocks, a favourite sea-swimming spot since 19th century, is the rocky headland to the south of Penzance harbour where the pool is situated. It forms part of Pen Sans (Holy Headland) after which Penzance is named.
